My French Country Kitchen renovation is coming along. I recently completed the stone backsplash (you can watch that in episode 4 here) but there are still so many things to do! 🫣 

Now, if you live in a rental apartment, you might get a little FOMO when you watch HGTV or whenever you see other people taking on renovation and home makeover projects.

…I sure did. I lived in apartments for many years and I had ALL THE FOMO, let me tell you.

I know it’s a bit of a bummer when your space feels more “temporary beige” than the dreamy Pinterest home you envisioned. But hey, just because you rent doesn’t mean your place has to look like a basic landlord special.

Because guess what? There are so many creative, renter-friendly updates that can turn your apartment into the stylish pad of your dreams—all without getting a passive-aggressive email from your landlord.

So today, I wanted to share 35 of my favorite renter-friendly home updates. These are small projects anyone can do that don’t require tearing any walls down (or even making any holes) so you can make your place feel like home without risking losing your security deposit!
